Teaching
At Fellowship Church we use an integrated teaching model of discipleship. We are currently using Experiencing God’s Story of Life and Hope as our weekly study material for Fall 2009 through Fall of 2010. On Sunday morning the sermon will touch on the same topic and text. The teaching time on Sunday mornings is designed to inspire and motivate us to grasp the message of God’s Word.
Then on Sunday evenings in our K-Groups we share our answers to the “So What?” questions from the weekly study. The K-Group time gives us the opportunity to find help in living out what we have come to understand from God’s Word. To sum up, we do the individual study during the week, we hear a sermon on Sunday morning to drive it home, and we engage community around the same study to find help in applying the message.
Graduate Level Theological Education
Fellowship Church is a Teaching Church of B.H. Carroll Theological Institute. www.bhcti.org
B. H. Carroll Theological Institute is a graduate-level community of faith and learning that equips men and women called to serve Christ in the diverse and global ministries of His church.
B.H. Carroll Teaching Churches are a fellowship of believers that adopts an intentional strategy to be a learning organization. A central aspect of this commitment will be a ministry partnership with B.H. Carroll Theological Institute to provide formal theological education and informal training for Christian leaders. Teaching is conducted face-to face by mentor-teachers living in the Arkadelphia and Central Arkansas area, and by interactive connection with other teachers in the Institute network. Mentor-teachers at the Teaching Church are academically qualified in their disciplines to teach at their respective levels.
